February 27, HBIS Chairman Liu Jian attended the Duferco annual board meeting and made a speech in Luxembourg. He emphasized that profit was the core issue of HBIS Duferco and should spend more energy on scale and cutting costs. With better resource allocations, Duferco could create more value to the group.

Liu Jian emphasized Duferco was a trader in steel industry and larger scale and optimized costs could help to improve the profitability. Profit could be the core spirit of Duferco business and in future invests, the company should be steady cautions and confident. As the majority shareholder, HBIS will provide favourite environment and use market oriented methods to coordinate businesses.

The board presented the FY2025 performance, risk control and management and digitization of Duferco. The meeting reviewed and passed HBIS Duferco FY2026 budget, investment plan and development strategy.

HBIS Supervisor, HBIS M&D Department, Duferco Directors and executives were in the meeting.
