November 13, HBIS Chairman Liu Jian met Worldsteel Deputy Secretary General Zhong Shaoliang in HBIS HQ and discussed to strengthen the friendship and enhance the sustainability of the industry.

HBIS Vice President Lin Zhangguo was also in the meeting.

Liu Jian expressed his warm welcome to Zhong Shaoliang and his delegation, and introduced the HBIS development towards high-end, intelligent and green directions. He stated that HBIS Group has accelerated the research and application of vertical models in the steel industry, continuously enhancing the level of intelligent manufacturing. Meanwhile, the hydrogen metallurgy project has achieved continuous and stable production and successfully exported green steel products, continuously leading the industry's green and low-carbon development. HBIS Group will earnestly fulfill its duties as a member enterprise, continue to support the work of the World Steel Association as always, actively participate in association activities, convey the voice of China's steel industry with its own practical achievements, and work hand in hand with the association to promote the sustainable development of steel industry.

Zhong Shaoliang introduced the recent progress of the World Steel Association's work and congratulated the HBIS on winning the Outstanding Achievement Award in Life Cycle assessment. He said that HBIS Group's specific practices in intelligent manufacturing and green low-carbon fields have already taken the lead in the industry and are worth learning from and drawing on. The World Steel Association will play the role as an international organization and continue to provide good services for its member enterprises in terms of new industry trends and the application of new technologies. It is expected that HBIS Group will continue to participate in and support the various activities of the association, actively share its experiences and practices in different fields, and jointly contribute to promoting the sustainable development of the industry.
