After going through strict standard review, HBIS become one member of Worldsteel Updated Sustainability Charter. 30 members in companies and associations did because of meeting all requirements of wordsteel then received their titles.

Worldsteel Sustainability Charter was firstly launched in 2009 by worldsteel and it reviewed and amended in every 3 years. The updated Charter includes 9 principles and 20 criteria covering the areas of action on climate change, recycling economy, safe and health, business ethics, innovation and commercial prosperous and other key items, reflecting steel industry’s growing attention on sustainable development, and the industry undertakes the duty in positive impact about human, earth and social progress.

Focusing on Carbon Peaking and Carbon Neutrality goals, HBIS firstly in China launched its Low Carbon Development Road map and accordingly building its six major technologies and two management platforms to meet the 2050 Carbon Neutrality targets, which continue lead the green development of steel industry and make HBIS contributions in nation’s efforts of Carbon Peaking and Neutrality. HBIS will take the low carbon road map as a direction, to take the deep transformation in low carbon and green development, continue to improve the brand values. HBIS would like to work with the global peers to make a better world for mankind.
